Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work in close partnership with the End User Computing team to create, execute and maintain EUC’s backlog of work by understanding, aligning and integrating with the business’ priorities and overall strategy
Consult and collaborate with the product owner to shape and manage the pipeline of opportunities and assess and anticipate current and future business needs
Together with the Business Solution Delivery Lead, co-facilitate the prioritization process for EUC and keep this list of IT priorities and requests up to date in the global portfolio & backlog management
Direct and manage the delivery of EUC’s solutions and services within the investment portfolio in accordance to Enterprise Architecture and COE’s standards (architecture, security, project management, quality assurance and development) from beginning to end
Track and monitor solutions and services progress; escalating issues to appropriate stakeholders
Manage Tier 2 support for incidents
Manage performance of key partners required to deliver target solution

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and oversee the management of EUC’s IT budget, and provide transparency on costs and capabilities
Negotiate prioritization of work within EUC and with other teams based on priorities
Proactively provide strategic advice and guidance about IT market trends to foster innovation within EUC, in collaboration with Center of Expertise and Enterprise architecture teams
Monitor IT performance and address major risks, issues and interdependencies
Provide high level estimates of effort and track performance and budget consumption
Facilitate people management and resourcing; defining roles and responsibilities, staff reviews/appraisals, recruitment/dismissals and staff training
Manage vendor performance under her/his leadership when applicable and work in collaboration with the sourcing and procurement team to support any procurement activities

Qualifications

Client Management : experienced in effectively interacting and communicating with business partners
Project Management: experienced in managing multiple dependencies between projects
Solution Design: experienced with several solution process design or re-engineering efforts
Value Management: can identify the effectiveness and completeness of business and technology strategies and ensure alignment with clients and other applicable cross-organization strategies

CERTIFICATIONS
Academic : undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, business, or equivalent (required), Graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) (Asset)
Certifications : PMP (Asset), ITIL foundations (Asset), Agile (Asset)

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience of contributing to the success of a range of mid-to-large size initiatives with above-average levels of complexity and business criticality
Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams, building a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large, complex investment budgets
