Financial Analyst position is reporting to the Controller and responsible for conducting analysis of corporate financial activities and delivering of timely and accurate financial reports to the management. Financial Analyst works in collaboration with all company departments to ensure outstanding customer service and continuous growth of organization. Financial Analyst supports accounting team, ensures appropriate financial controls and participates in special projects assigned by Controller.

Job Duties:

Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions into accounting books related to assets, liabilities, revenue and expense accounts by compiling and analyzing account information.

Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Reconcile intercompany and GL accounts, investigate and explain financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information and post related adjustment entries.

Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc financial reports as well as financial analysis to support management decision.

Monitor cashflow and prepare forecast reports. Suggest and/or make intercompany transfers as required. Set-up customer accounts and payments in on-line banking systems and provide initial approval for customer charges.

Maintain company compliance with federal and provincial financial requirements by preparing and processing HST/GST/PST and Income tax installments; preparing and submitting quarterly reports to CRA and Ministry of Finance.

Prepare year-end reconciliations for audit and Income tax reporting purposes. Collaborate with auditors and tax accountant on audit and year-end activities.

Contribute to accounting team effort to implement best practices, gain efficiency and deliver related results performing other duties assigned on temporary or permanent basis.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Perform perform any other job-related duties assigned by Controller.
