The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of HR functions and projects, providing support directly to the Human Resources team. The HR Administrative Assistant will provide effective and timely support to our key objectives of Onboarding, Training, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures; as well as key administrative functions such as record keeping, data maintenance, communications and social events.

This is a 12-month contract position.

Specific activities may include:

- HR related administrative tasks and responsibilities such as departmental filing (electronic and manual), general updates to HR materials, arranging various meetings and booking of meeting rooms
- Preparing HR letters, documents and reports
- Implementing HR administrative policies and procedures
- Coordinate training meetings, assisting in the preparation of training materials and room set-up
- Assist in the roll out of various HR programs including but not limited to performance management, attendance management, on-boarding and orientation of new employees
- Liaison with finance and the processing of invoices and employee reimbursements
- Providing ad-hoc HR reports as required  
- Assist as required with the coordination and organization of company social events
- Initial contact for general HR inquiries
