Description

WHY THIS ROLE: 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Entrepreneurship Team, you will ensure our clients are leveraging Invest Ottawa’s services to maximize their potential. As the first point of contact for companies within our Digital Mainstreet Program, you will be responsible for understanding our clients needs and connecting them with our advisory team. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

  • Supporting Invest Ottawa client companies from onboarding through program completion, including engagement with mentors 
  • Coordinating advisor meetings and connect the businesses with the different resources available in the program 
  • Working with Invest Ottawa partners to facilitate and moderate webinars 
  • Managing events calendar and work with the Marketing and Communications team to promote broadly 
  • Running live events such as workshops and seminars in person when potential restrictions are lifted. 
  • Updating client information, progress, and key metrics in Microsoft Dynamics 
  • Making programming and event recommendations to Venture Development management based on observations and client conversations 
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders in the Ottawa entrepreneurial ecosystem 
  • Being the Chief Everything Officer (CEO), find opportunity in every task and support the company and team

Qualifications

WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED: 

  • Post-secondary education in business management, operations, event management or related discipline 
  • A self-starter that can work under minimal supervision 
  • Assertive, confident, flexible, and thrives under pressure 
  • Conducts business in a professional manner at all times, leading by example with a positive team attitude in all aspects 
  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences for clients, visitors and industry partners 
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational, trouble-shooting, and interpersonal skills
