The Digital Workplace Evangelist, or Solution Integration Architect (SIA) as it is internally known, will be responsible for the architectural design of a variety of End User Computing (EUC) solutions for the Canada Post Group of Companies. The SIA for EUC will be the standard bearer for existing and emerging hardware, technologies, outsourcing options and Software as a Service (SaaS) options that facilitate the unification of end user computing solutions into an overall enterprise architecture. This will include existing and future desktop and mobility services, end user productivity applications and tools and end user support services. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, with responsibility for interacting with the business, other technology teams and third-party managed service providers.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Design, enhance and help implement the End User Compute platforms and infrastructure solutions that support the requirements of the business with an eye for continual improvement, including speed of delivery and user experience
• Work with the EUC team and other groups to streamline effective processes and drive continuous improvement for EUC infrastructure, services and support
• Solution and architect the services, technologies and infrastructure required within the end user computing environment
• Help the team ensure that the services provided by managed service providers are delivered against agreed SLAs or statements of work
• Identify and drive areas for service improvements in conjunction with the managed service provider
• Keep abreast of new developments and emerging industry standards in end user technology and services


Critical Skills and Competencies Characteristics


• Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, collegiate diploma in computer science or equivalent experience required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering services via a 3rd party managed services provider
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to consolidate data to provide easily understandable deliverables
• Service Management oriented with strong commitment to customer service
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and developing flexible solutions to meet evolving business requirements
• Demonstrated ability in leading technical projects
• Strong knowledge of design and architecture of client and server systems with a recent emphasis on virtualization and cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver detailed technical documentation.
• Technical skills required including:
• Windows 10, Android and iOS design and application deployment
• Experience with SCCM, Altiris, SOTI or equivalent client service management technologies
• Experience with and a good understanding of end point security solutions
• Experience with architecting, deploying and supporting Microsoft end user solutions
• Active Directory,  LDAP and user profile management
• Citrix and other remote / virtual desktop technologies
• Familiarity with IT Service Management solutions like ServiceNow
