I take this opportunity to congratulate and express my heart felt gratitude to all staff members of the OCCSC for your outstanding performance! I found the blend of courses offered under the theme "Small Business Accounting" relevant and practical, especially to Newcomers to Canada, like myself. The courses are of paramount significance with regard to bridging the gap between the acquirement of international training and the requirement of the Canadian work environment. In my view, the services offered by OCCSC serve as a gateway to connect overseas trained manpower to the competitive Canadian labour market. I would also like to mention that I was most impressed by the diversity exhibited at OCCSC. The multicultural setting provided made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout the duration of the course. I am very satisfied with the services offered by OCCSC!

My biggest challenge was getting to a professional level in English and to understand the culture of the Canadian workplace. My next challenge was to tackle the hidden job market. We had courses describing exactly how to get a job, how to keep it, and more important, how to advance into your career once you get the job. All the teachers have deep networks with employers and they know how they think, how they hire, and fire. The schedule of the program allowed me to focus on my job search during the day. Furthermore, I got really useful help for my resume which allowed me to get an interview in my field and got help for the interview. After two years and half of hundreds of resume sent unsuccessfully, things started to change with the help of all the staff. For me the best thing was MIchelle's coaching. She helped me prepare for my phone interview and provided support for my real interview. That is what landed me the job. I am very grateful to her for all of her help.

I am a professional from India and joined the ELT Accounting course at OCCSC. I must say that I am very, very pleased with this course! It is just brilliant! One thing I learned from the program is the simplicity and good use of this accounting software. I also benefitted greatly from the financial & English language courses and computer lab time.
